As of July 18, 2025, the Plumbers and Pipefitters Training Center will suspend the distribution and acceptance of applications until further notice.

Any completed applications received prior to this date will be reviewed, and applicants will be notified by certified mail of their interview date once it has been scheduled.

Plumbers

The plumbing profession covers the practice, materials, and fixtures involved in the installation, maintenance, extension, and alteration of all piping along with fixtures, plumbing appliances, and plumbing appurtenances inside or adjacent to a structure connected with storm drainage facilities or sanitary drainage, venting systems, or public or private water supply systems.

Plumbers work with plumbing by installing pipes, fittings, and fixtures related to human consumption and health and hygiene related to potable water supply and discharging waste. Potable water is used for washing, bathing, drinking, and food preparation.

In order to legally work in the state of Oklahoma, a plumber must be registered as an apprentice with the state or hold a journeyman license.
